The new Cuerden Valley Park Visitor Centre and Cafe is now open!
Our brand new Cafe is now open located in our Visitor Centre which is situated with fantastic views overlooking the valley of the River Lostock. Why not pay us a visit and enjoy a brew with a view! The cafe opens everyday 9.30am to 5.00pm.
The menu is still evolving, but at the moment we serve a selection of mouth watering lunch choices including sandwiches, platters, salads, teas, coffees and cake, not to mention Wallings superb ice cream.
It has taken us three years to complete this environmentally friendly building. The work has been undertaken primarily with the help of a team of dedicated volunteers and the Trustees and Staff would like to thank each and everyone of you who have given up your time to help. We would also like to thank everybody who has contributed financially whether it be by individual donation, sponsoring a bale or by grant funding. Grants and contributions have been received from –
The Greenbank Trust
Lancashire Environmental Fund
Chorley Borough Council
South Ribble Borough Council
Features of the build include recycled tyre foundations, straw bale walls which have been lime rendered, a ground source heat pump and shingle roof.
We hope that you will pay us a visit soon!
