Join the regulars for a stroll around the Park for an hour or so followed by refreshments and a chat in the Visitor Centre and Cafe.

Free timed 5km run through the Park, for enjoyment only. Open to all ages and abilities.

August 2018

Thursday 2nd August 7.30pm
Badger Run (3)
A 10 kilometre trail run, taking in the beautiful scenery of the park. The last of three runs throughout the summer with prizes for various classes. £11.50 attached, £13.50 unattached. Proceeds to Cuerden Valley Park Trust. Pre enter by clicking here

Thursday 9th August – 10.00am to 3.00pm
Forest Camp
The first of three Forest Camp days in August. Activities will differ each day. Games, activities and adventure in the woods. £20 per child (age 5-11) per day. Please book – click here

Thursday 9th August – 7.30pm
Bat Detectives
The first of two walks detecting the bats that frequent the Park. Adults £4 (Friends of CVP £3) Children £2. Please book by clicking here

Sunday 12th August – 10.00am to 3.00pm
Conservation Volunteers
Feel free to join the group and come along to help the Rangers here on the Park. Don’t forget suitable footwear, gloves and a packed lunch! Anyone over 13 welcome (under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult). Meet at the Visitor Centre.

Monday 13th August – 10.00am to 12.30pm 
Family Forest Adventure
Campfire treats, den making and other foresty things. £20 per family (up to 4 people). Please book – click here

Wednesday 15th August – 10.00am to 3.00pm
Over 10’s Dangerous Day
Forest Camp for older kids. Safely undertaking fire making and knife craft, survival eating, dens and crafts. £20 per person (age 10-15)  Please book by clicking here

Forest Camp 
Always popular, the second day of three featuring games, activities and adventure in the woods taking place during August. Activities differ each day. £20 per child (age 5-11) per day. Please book – click here

After Dark Wildlife Discovery
A walk to find the night time creatures that live in the Park – moths, bats, owls etc. Adults £4 (Friends of CVP £3) Children £2.

Sunday 16th September – Time slots from 10.00pm
Gruffalo Walk
A self led trail to find the Gruffalo. For children aged 3 to 7. £4 per child. Booking essential – please click here

St Nicholas Fair
Farmers Market and the magic of Christmas. Santa Claus, ice sculptures and winter activities for all the family.
