Winter Birdwatch
A guided walk to spy on winter birds that visit the Park. Followed by warm drinks. Adults £4 (Friends of CVP £3) Children Free. Meet at the Barn 1pm.

Farmers Market
Your chance to buy lots of fresh local foods and crafted items from one of around 30 local stalls. In and around the Barn.

Red Squirrels
A talk by Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s Red Squirrel Officer – what is being done to save #TheLastRedSquirrel.

Family Equinox Stargazing
Robert Ince and other local astronomers will have large telescopes on hand to show you the wonders of the night sky.  You might see Orion, Orion’s nebula, Mars and meteorites and lots of other bodies in the night sky.
(Contingency for cloudy weather with images and films).
Suitable for adults and children 8+.

Bluebell Walk
We’re not sure when the bluebells will be in full bloom, so keep checking here for the date of our guided walk around the Park focusing on the impressive displays of bluebells across the Park.

Dawn Chorus
Join David Beattie for an early morning walk to catch the birds in song.
Followed by bacon butties in the Barn.

Learn about migratory birds and butterflies. For children age 8 – 13 (£2)

Cuerden Valley Fair
Our big annual event. Bring all the family for a grand day out in the Park. Rides, games, stalls, crafts, dogs, hawks, other animals, woodland crafts.

Pond Dipping

Thursday 1st June – 7.30pm start
Badger Run (1)
A 10km trail run in conjunction with Wesham Road Runners, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Park. One of three runs throughout the summer, prizes for various classes.
Pre-entry at www.bookitzone.com or pay on the night.
£6 attached, £7 unattached (All three races, £16.50 attached, £19.50 unattached)

Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th June –  1.00pm – Midnight (10.00pm Sunday)
7th Annual Cuerden Valley Beer Festival
40 Beers including Cider and Lager for you to try together with live music in the beautiful Walled Orchard. Limited edition commemorative pint glass available while stocks last.
Adults £5, children free. Free glass and programme.

Sunday 4th June – 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Wildlife Watch Group – Bug Hunt
Discover the magic and secrets of our insect friends. For children age 8 – 13 (£2)

Sunday 11th June – 11.00am
Wildflower Wander
Guided walk to discover the wildflowers of the Park.

Conservation Volunteers
Balsam Bashing. Your are most welcome to help the Rangers control this invasive weed – don’t forget suitable footwear and a packed lunch.

Wildlife Counts
Come along and help Lancashire Wildlife Trust count how many different species they can find in the Park. Further details of specific events during the day to follow.
