The policy of the Trust is neither to support or oppose planning applications by third parties or the owners of property surrounding Trust property. The Trust did not make the current application for planning permission for the proposed pipeline and does not support it.

Cuerden Valley Park is maintained and managed by Cuerden Valley Park Trust, an independent charity which receives no funding from Local Authorities towards the upkeep of the Park, relying instead on income from car parking and the numerous events held throughout the year at the Park.

You can help support us
Cuerden Valley Park Trust is a registered charity which receives no funding or financial support from the government or any local authority. The Park was established with an endowment which has over the years been used to maintain the Park and keep it open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for the people of Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge and further afield to enjoy.
However, to make ends meet, we now rely heavily not just on the money we receive from the events we organise throughout the year and the small charge we make to use our car parks, but also from the generous donations we receive from members of the public.

Volunteering Opportunities
Could you spare a couple of hours or even a day every now and again to help us out here at Cuerden Valley Park?
Become a volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to get out, meet people, and learn and practice new and existing skills. Conservation Sundays (usually the second Sunday of the month) provide a chance to get out in the Park helping the Rangers with tasks that need more pairs of hands. On these same Sundays those that enjoy gardening may like to help keep our Walled Orchard looking spick and span. Anyone over the age of 13 can help with these tasks (although if you’re under 16 you need to have someone over 18 tagging along with you).
